October Franchise Updates

One bright spot about the pandemic is that pet adoptions are up. They will continue with October being “Adopt-a-Dog Month®.”

I adopted a dog recently and this is how Annie, a lab mix, became a member of my family.

As we downsized to a smaller home as empty nesters, our oldest advised we get a dog. He said it’s a proven remedy for empty nest syndrome.

We found Annie, a rescue, online. She was just the dog we were looking for – not too big, not too small and female.

Thanks to Hand Over Paws, we adopted Annie after being taken through their vetting process.

What a tremendous joy she has been. I find myself wondering some days, who rescued who. She’s really distracted my husband and me from our empty nest.

Some people take their love of animals and apply it to their businesses. Pet franchises include bird watching, mobile grooming, pet training, walking, sitting and clean up, doggie day care, boarding and selling supplies in a retail storefront.
