Which Franchise Is Right for You?

Later today I’ll be introducing four franchise opportunities to a candidate whose business model requires less than a full-time commitment. He’ll remain in his corporate role as a Senior Vice President while building an exit strategy and diversifying his investments into a new asset class and income stream.

Let’s call him Ken.

What won’t I be presenting? The obvious 90% of franchises that require the owner to work in the business full-time.

Instead, Ken will explore a small group of opportunities often described as semi-absentee, part-time, or “manage-the-manager” models. These terms can be misleading. In the early stages, the owner’s involvement is typically higher as the business gets established. Once the team, systems, and infrastructure are in place—and the business approaches or reaches break-even—the owner’s time commitment generally decreases.

For Ken, that means hiring a full-time manager from day one. During the startup phase, he’ll also be involved in important milestones such as site selection, lease negotiation, buildout, and preparing for the grand opening when all the pieces—people, process, and service—come together.

Today he’ll review two home-services franchises that complement his growing real estate investments, as well as two brick-and-mortar concepts in the health, wellness, and fitness space.

Here’s the interesting part: Ken has zero experience in any of these industries.

That’s not a problem. Strong franchisors don’t look for industry experts. They look for leaders with solid business instincts who can follow a proven system. The franchisor provides the training, systems, and ongoing support to help franchisees succeed.

If you’re serious about creating your own exit strategy from corporate life, reply to this email and let’s schedule a casual conversation to see if franchise ownership could make sense for you.

May you be wildly wealthy in all areas of your life.
