Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day

Today is Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. It was really meaningful when my family visited Pearl Harbor during our vacation to Hawaii when my eldest graduated high school. It was really amazing to have a witness to the attack share his memory of that day! To have him give a firsthand account made such a huge impact!

During the attack at Pearl Harbor, over 2,400 American servicemen and 68 civilians were killed. Five of the eight battleships at Pearl Harbor were sunk, and virtually all ships were damaged.

On Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, U.S. flags will be flown at half-staff.

Have you visited Pearl Harbor? Was anyone in your family involved in it? If so, kindly share your story in the comments section below.
