When it comes to becoming a business owner, there are more financial benefits than just a paycheck.
One area of Owner’s Benefits has to do with tax advantages. One example is when I had a company car. Instead of using savings from my paychecks (After Tax Dollars), my company purchased a car with Before Tax Dollars.
Profits are calculated by subtracting costs from revenues. The expense of the car lowered earnings.
But Don’t I Want To Make Profits?
As a business owner, I benefited from the automobile, and this expense lowered the earnings’ tax burden.
Because of the benefits I received, I didn’t mind having my profits lowered.
