Before becoming a franchise business owner, Drayton was a CEO in the textile industry and traveled globally. He said he missed more kids’ birthdays, school activities, and anniversaries than he could recall.
Drayton transitioned his career to entrepreneurship so he could spend more time with his family. When we started working together, it was clear that Drayton wanted to use his B2B networking skills as his primary function in his business.
Drayton chose an IT services company. The reason was not that he was a technology guru but rather the role of the owner fit him very well. He is quite people-oriented and enjoys relationship building in the business community. Drayton’s business serves as an outsourced IT department to small to medium-sized businesses. Drayton hires computer technicians who provide the services to the customers.
Drayton says his only regret was not making the change ten years sooner.
